This is long, but bare with me, there’s a point to it.

First of all, can I just begin by saying, I told you so. Nobody listened but I said it the day Demi came out of TC.

Since the first day Demi came out of Treatment Centre, she has been wearing that ring. It’s obvious that the ring is for men, and it’s too big for her, which is why from the beginning I thought that there was a special someone in Demi’s life (and there was, which she kept private for a reason).

It’s clear now who that ring belonged to; Wilmer Valderrama. Because when the rumour was that Demi and Wilmer had separated, she stopped wearing the ring, and when the rumours started again that they were back together, she started wearing it again.

Now I get to the point. Do you know what this means? It mean that for those of you fake fans who have been sending hate to Demi and Wilmer are wrong. The fact that Demi had that ring in treatment, means that Wilmer has been supporting her the entire time, all the way through. It also means that Wilmer isn’t just dating Demi for fame, because if he was their relationship would have been public a long, long time ago. One year of having a private relationship is far too long to be just a game.

Yes, Wilmer has a past, and I’m sure some of you are concerned by that. But don’t be blind, because the fact of the matter is, our hero Demi has a past as well. And you know what? Both of these amazing people overcame that past, with their strength, courage and with each other. Wilmer supporting Demi, and Demi supporting Wilmer.

And for over a year they’ve been together now, truly happy and in love. And unlike some past relationships Demi has had (not naming names), it isn’t one sided.

Demi is not just another artwork in Wilmer’s gallery, not just another dime or a notch on his belt.

And as for age, they’re happy, who gives a damn? It’s not like he’s 40 and she’s 13. And you know what? Some amazing family friends of mine are 16 years apart, the lovely lady of the pair the elder of the two, and they are happily in love, and have been for longer than I’ve known them.

Don’t you dare hate on Wilmer and on Demi, and then call yourselves fans. They get hurt, too. And if you’re a lovatic, you of all people should know that.

Yes Demi had her heart broken before, but need I remind you it wasn’t Wilmer that did it, and he is a completely different person.

I for one am over the moon for Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama. They’re happy, and possibly in love. And you know what? It’s an amazing and a beautiful thing. And I will support them, admire them, and love them until the day I die.

Welcome to the #Lovatics Family Wilmer. You are an amazing and decent man, and I’m glad Demi has someone like you to hold. Demi deserves the best in the world, and I’m sure you’ll prove to us that you can be that.
